If you like, you can also make a two-part vessel, which you'll assemble on day two.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDay 2: Once your pieces have dried for a day, you'll bring them into their final form – for example, trimming a foot ring into the base and smoothing the surfaces. If you made a two-part vessel the day before, you'll assemble it now.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOnce your pieces are fully dried, glazed, and fired by us, the kenzan workshop follows – this part is led by Alina from soil.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDay 3 – Ikebana\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn this part of the workshop, Alina from soil will introduce you to mindful flower arranging. The creative approach is inspired by ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging. You'll arrange flowers in the very vessels you made on the wheel – giving you a truly personal foundation for your arrangement.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eFocus on form and structure:\u003c\/strong\u003e Rather than creating lush, full bouquets, Alina draws out the natural character of each individual flower. She'll show you how to create distinctive arrangements through deliberate lines and reduction.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eCraft and technique:\u003c\/strong\u003e The course combines practice and theory. Alina will share background knowledge on materials and tools, and give you a brief introduction to the origins of ikebana.
