Slipped Vase #26107

This vase was fired in the main chamber of the Sasukenei kiln, where it developed its distinctive surface during the wood firing. An iron-rich slip transformed into deep black and green tones, creating a striking contrast with the soft bluish colour of the clay. The subtle traces of flame and ash further enhance its character, making this piece truly one of a kind. One of our personal favourites.
