Intensive Wheelthrowing - Beginner (6 Weeks)

Would you like to learn how to make pottery on a wheel? In this 6-week intensive course, you will learn the basic techniques step by step. Each week we will focus on a new area and practice repetitively so that you can work independently on the disc after completing the course. We will meet once a week for six consecutive weeks.

What you can expect:

• Centring - the basis for all successful pieces
• Walls - controlled shaping of your vessels
• Throwing different shapes - from cups to bowls
• Trimming - for precise bases and harmonious proportions
  
• Adding decoration & handles - individual details for your work
• Working with different amounts of clay - for variations in size and shape

At the end of the course, you can choose your 6 favourite pieces. These will be finished with glazes of your choice and fired. They will be ready for collection after 4-6 weeks. They can also be dispatched for an additional charge (10 euros).

The course is ideal for beginners and offers an intensive, practical introduction to the wheel throwing technique.

Notes: 
*Everything you will make is food safe as well as dishwasher safe 
*The clay can be easily washed out of clothes, but it is best not to wear your best clothes. Aprons are also available on site.
*There is a small selection of soft drinks and snacks
