Summer is the perfect time to try something new – and what better way than to get your hands in the clay? In this summer crash course, you'll learn the fundamental techniques of the pottery wheel step by step over 4 days (3 throwing days and one trimming day). Intensive, compact and open to everyone who has always wanted to start throwing.

Our studio is pleasantly cool and opens up to the outside through a large gate – it almost feels like throwing outdoors. The perfect spot for hot summer days.

What to expect:

• Centering – the foundation of every successful piece
• Pulling walls – controlled shaping of your vessels
• Throwing different forms – from mugs to bowls
• Trimming – for clean, refined shapes
• Adding decoration & handles – personal details for your work

At the end of the course, you can choose your 5 favourite pieces. These will be glazed in your choice of colours and fired. After 4–6 weeks they'll be ready for pick-up. Shipping is also available for an additional fee (€12).

Notes:
*Everything you make is food-safe, dishwasher-proof and suitable for everyday use.
*Clay washes out of clothing easily – but it's still best not to wear your finest. Aprons are available on site.
*Short nails make throwing much easier.
*A small selection of soft drinks and snacks is available.
